  • An expert team: Our team has extensive specialist experience, skills, competencies and knowledge in the gospel music industry.

  

  • Experience and knowledge: Having done this project for six (6) years, we have holistic experience and knowledge of managing this project.

Baseline

The INGOMA was conceptualized with the aim of recognizing excellence of these upcoming and independent African musicians. The aim of the project is to grow the status associated with this award much like the global recognized and commercial awards.

Mission

  • Encourage hard work of high standard by upcoming and independent gospel artists.
    Promote and expose talent from Africa to the world
  • Facilitate the exposure, promotion and celebration of the Gospel through music.
  • Identify, and recognize unknown musical talents in order to give them mentorship and needed exposure.
  • Encourage artists to write and produce new and original new material.
  • Create platforms to showcase the identified talent.

Purpose

The INGOMA will include gospel musicians, community print (newspapers and magazines) and broadcasting (radio and TV) individuals from all the nine (9) provinces of South Africa. Participation in the INGOMA is on the principle of inclusivity and peer-to-peer recognition. The overall objective of the INGOMAs is to encourage all upcoming and independent artists to go beyond the call of duty and produce music that meets the highest standard and to also recognize their hard work.

Objectives

  • Reward and recognize excellence in the gospel music industry i.e. musicians, comedians, print and electronic media personalities;
  • To encourage upcoming and independent gospel musicians to go beyond the call of duty and produce music and content that meets the highest standard and to also recognize their hard work;
  • To promote professionalism in the gospel music industry and build capacity in the respective areas of focus;
  • To contribute to the growth and development of the South African gospel music industry.
